Take Your Learning Beyond the Lectures

The Hands-On Training Kit is optional and sold separately from Module A.

Optional Hands-On Training Kit

Watching a procedure is valuable, but performing it yourself is where confidence is built.

The Optional Hands-On Training Kit was developed to complement Module A and provide clinicians with the opportunity to practice the techniques demonstrated throughout the course. The kit includes three guided exercises covering anterior implant provisionalization, connective tissue grafting through tunneling, and advanced suturing techniques
for soft tissue grafting procedures.

  • Hands-On Exercise 1: Chairside Fixed Provisional Fabrication
  • Hands-On Exercise 2: Connective Tissue Grafting Through Tunneling
  • Hands-On Exercise 3: Advanced Suturing for Multiple-Site Recession Tunneling

Part 1 Model (1)

Hands-On Exercise 1

Chairside Fixed Provisional Fabrication for Anterior Immediate Implant

Learn a practical workflow for fabricating a screw-retained fixed provisional restoration for an anterior implant case. Participants will follow the step-by-step process of converting a printed provisional shell into a functional provisional restoration while developing proper emergence profile concepts and soft tissue support.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Temporary cylinder placement and pickup
  • Emergence profile development
  • Finishing and polishing
  • Clinical considerations for immediate implant provisionalization

Included in This Exercise:

  • Hands-On Part 1 Upper Model with Implant Placed
  • Printed provisional crown shell and model tooth #8
  • Temporary implant cylinder
  • Flowable Composite resin materials
  • Teflon Tape

Part 1 Model (2)

Hands-On Exercise 2

Connective Tissue Grafting Through Tunneling Techniques

This hands-on session is designed to help clinicians learn the step-by-step process of connective tissue grafting using the tunneling technique in the anterior implant zone.

As a continuation of Hands-On Part 1, participants will practice soft tissue grafting techniques to improve tissue volume, stability, and esthetic contours around anterior implants.

While the exercise is demonstrated using an implant case, the techniques taught can also be applied to natural tooth recession treatment and other soft tissue grafting procedures.

Key Learning Objectives

  • Donor site tissue harvesting
  • Tunnel preparation and recipient site management
  • Connective tissue graft placement and stabilization
  • Positioning sutures
  • Horizontal sling suturing techniques
  • Donor site suturing

Included in This Exercise:

  • Hands-On Part 1 Upper Model
  • Tunneling Instruments #1 and #2
  • Scissors, Forceps, and Needle Holder
  • 15C Blade Holder
  • Sutures

Part 2 Model

Hands-On Exercise 3

Suturing for Multiple-Site Recession Tunneling

Develop confidence with the suturing techniques commonly used to stabilize connective tissue grafts and coronally advance tissue during tunneling procedures.

Participants will practice several advanced suturing techniques that can be immediately applied to soft tissue grafting procedures in daily practice.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Positioning sutures for multiple-site grafting
  • Modified horizontal sling sutures
  • Continuous hidden horizontal sling sutures
  • Tissue stabilization and graft immobilization
  • Suturing strategies for predictable healing

Included in This Exercise:

  • Hands-On Part 2 Lower Model
  • Scissors, Forceps, and Needle Holder
  • Sutures
